Week 12 - Superburrl III

The Glen Issue

Green Bay are still better than Detroit. New York still aren't as good as we thought. Philly are still sneaking wins to stay alive. Chicago still suck. Are you bored of the Superburrl yet? I hope not because LIVE FROM NEW YORK IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT!

Coney Island 11th August 2009
Hopefully that got your attention.

Yep. The more observant of you will notice Chan and I decided to cut three franchises. We needed to shake things up. (I wonder when the dropped franchises will notice.) If it's not blatantly obvious, here's why:

Chuck Klosterman talks about the NFL being America's most progressive, socialist organization. I wanted to apply the same Marxist ideals. Y' feel me? Chan on the other hand was applying Ari Gold ideals - split the profits four ways instead of seven. Four franchises. Settled. Four. Like the Fantastic Four? Yeah? Some Jessica Alba Superburrl action. Y' feel me?

Then we had another little parlez. We decided on one more franchise. A new franchise. And one that will never challenge even the Bears or Lions for the Lomburrdi trophy - a point that Chan and I both felt was pertinent. That makes it one more than four franchises. It's makes it five franchises. Five franchises! Five. The Fantastic Five. Definitely FIVE. So without further ado...

Wow!

What a pleasant surprise! I really am honored. Thank you Phil and Michael.

Although I realise that I will not be challenging for the Lomburrdi trophy for the next few years, I anticipate I will have my chance at victory by around Superburrl VI. This is exciting!

I'm currently thinking about what beer I will drink and what song I will listen to when it is finally confirmed that Tim Ruskell will not have his contract renewed. I'm thinking Lone Star, and Tusk by Fleetwood Mac.

That Glen. Like we know or care about what goes on in Seattle? God bless him though, he'll keep telling us about it all anyway.

the news was made official at 10AM Pacific.

I drank cherry Kool-Aid with a little Glens Vodka and I was listenin' to Lil Wayne. It felt really, really good.

Come home Mike Holmgren!
